If all goes well, by tomorrow night all the body work should be done and all the parts should be primed. The Terra-Gator Fertilizer Spreader Model I made several years ago also had real soft tires and I had to put a stand uner it too. I’m thinking the finished HENDRICKSON TRUCK MODEL could end up weighing closer to 40 lbs. And over a few years of sitting on the shelf, they would be 100% squished. Without the stands, they would be 3/4 squished !!. That way, they can be turned up or down depending how much squishiness Kevin wants on the tires to give them the right look. Because of the finished weight of the truck and the softness of the tires, I am mounting ajustable stands under the truck model. HENDRICKSON THE BEAUTY TRUCK MODEL – Well, I am doing the last of the welding on the truck this afternoon. Oh Yea !! Almost time to get the Corvette out of storage, ha,ha. The weatherman is saying another week we could get a wram spell and it could hit 30 degrees. The sun is shining and it is now 7 degrees. TWO DEGREES BELOW ZERO AGAIN THIS MORNING- It was another nippy morning in Gaylord, Michigan. So I just got back from Sears and bought a new 1.5 hp compressor for under the workbench. My small under the bench compressor quit on me today. NEW CRAFTSMAN AIR COMPRESSOR- I have a 5 hp, 60 gallon air compressor, but don’t use it during the winter months. Did I ever mention I like all kinds of machines, LOL !! KOMATSU SUPER DOZER- I will work on the second track frame this afternoon. Last night I got things around and started working on the scale the 575A Super Dozer model will be. The big Dart Loader was very unique looking and the Liebherr T-272 Monster Haul Truck was awesome so I hope to also build both of those machines into models one of these days. And it won’t be the last, there are two more machines we climbed on that day I still want to build. So this is the third piece of equipment I will be building into a model from this trip. We had a great afternoon with John in the coal mines and so far I have built the Bucyrus-Erie model like the real one that John operates, and I have built the monster Champion 100T grader that we climbed all over on this trip. It looks like Tom was trying to stretch his hands across to see if he could reach both sides of the blade in this picture, ha,ha. weighing in at around 150 tons and with a engine producing over 1,150 h.p. It is the largest and most powerful dozer being produced today. Well, the day has arrived that I have begun the design stage of this Komatsu 575A Super Dozer. KOMATSU 575A SUPER DOZER AND TOM, JOHN AND ME IN THE COAL MINES.
